Here’s a list of things to consider as you tackle your kitchen cabinets & drawers today or this week.

  • If you have 10 minutes:  Wipe down cabinet doors with a solution of vinegar and water.  Vinegar will not harm your wood and will keep chemicals out of the area where you prepare your food.
  • If you have 15 minutes:  Add cabinet hardware.  Wipe down each handle and knob on your kitchen cabinets and drawers.
  • If you have 20 minutes:  Add drawers.  Pull out all silverware trays.  Vacuum out drawers.
  • If you have 30 minutes: Continue to clean drawers.  While trays are out of the drawers, use vinegar solution to wipe out any stickiness or residue.
  • If you have 45 minutes: Focus on trays.  Sort through silverware and cutlery trays and purge anything that you don’t use or that may be broken.  Replace your items carefully and purposefully.
  • If you have 60 minutes:  Add cabinets.  Pull out everything from your cabinets.  Vacuum and wipe down all shelves.  Purge contents of cabinets.  Replace only what you need and use regularly.
