list of occasions for which to give gifts

“It is better to give than to receive.” And there are plenty of opportunities to give throughout the year. While gift-giving is so much fun and brings enormous joy to both the giver and the receiver, gift-buying can be a stressful ordeal if you have not planned ahead. Here are some occasions in which you may need to prepare gifts for one or more people. Once you have an idea of what lies ahead, begin to set aside money for buying gifts or materials for gifts and be conscious of your gift list each time you are in a position to shop. Make a list of everyone for whom you would buy a birthday gift and organize it in your planner or calendar.

For wedding gifts, I like to have one or two “must have” gifts for every wedded person. Like Dave Ramsey’s book or a set of nice white cotton towels. Even if they want a special color to hang and decorate, who wouldn’t want an extra white towel to USE? GRIN Even if I don’t have this prepurchased, I have the gift idea in my mind so I can get it at a moments notice. Stock up on sales or bulk purchase opportunities!

Thanks. This is good. I have a little box in my basement labeled, "GIFTS" and I keep sale/clearance items in it that I just can't resist. But, I don't fill it and/or use it very often. This year I'm trying harder to make the most of sale-finds so that my gift-giving can be more fun & affordable!

    I haven't been to your blog for a while…I'm happy I'm back.
    It's so fun!

We just recently had a Welcome Home party for a friend returning from Russia.

She was really surprised and not used to the custom at all.

It was fun to give her presents.
