Easter Countdown! Create a Grand Plan for Easter Day.

Easter is less than a week away. Whether or not you have begun planning for the day, consider the steps you can take to make this a special holiday for you, your family, and your community.  Each day this week, I’ll suggest an area of planning for Easter and list tasks and reminders to keep you on track.

Members to ListPlanIt will find lots of tips and tools for Easter planning in Holidays & Occasions.  Not yet a member?  Join today and get organized to make your holidays less stressful and more meaningful.

Monday – Grand Plan

  • Brainstorm
What are your priorities this Easter? Easter egg decorating? Baskets? Egg hunt? Religious service? Easter clothing? Easter dinner? All of the above? Think about the things that are a part of your family’s Easter traditions and decide now what will be included in this year’s Easter celebration.
  • Prioritize
Feeling overwhelmed with your family’s traditions?  It happens. Sometimes our good intentions (extra special fun and memories) just end up weighing us down.  Pare down your brainstorm list to the priorities.  No time to find new clothing?  Make do with what you have.  On the egg hunt committee for your church or community?  Just say no to last-minute requests for time and money.  Know your load and your limitations.  Do what you can, but don’t overcommit.
  • Use a Calendar or Planner
Plug in the things you need to get done between now and Easter in your calendar or Easter planner.  Set appointments with yourself (and those involved) to complete your list-making, shopping, and creating.
  • Delegate
You are not solely responsible for everyone’s holiday experience, so don’t try to go it alone.  Consider ways that family, friends, and community can share the responsibilities.

What is on your Easter countdown?
