list of essential organizing products for children’s rooms

We’re continuing a series of posts to inspire you to get organized this spring!

A child’s room is a great place to dig in.  This room is often filled with lots of toys, sometimes art supplies, teeny-tiny socks, and other small items that sometimes pile up.  Finding a place for it all is key.  Here are some organizing products that make great sense when looking to invest in your child’s room.

  • Boon Oval Animal Bag – I love things that serve a multi-purpose. I am a serious multi-tasker and I like to find products that do the same thing. This beanbag gets its stuffing from the multitude of stuffed animals that every child tends to have in his or her room. This beanbag is available in several different colors.
  • Blue Over-the-Door Shoe Organizer or Pink Over-the-Door 24 Pocket Shoe Organizer – Don’t let shoes take up valuable space on the closet floor. Hang this organizer over the bedroom or closet door to keep shoes in one convenient, out-of-sight place.  These could also be great for organizing art supplies or dress up materials.
  • Pop-Up Fabric Toy Box – Pretty colors for either a boy or a girl, this soft-sided toy box is perfect for all ages. A great way to tote toys from room to room.
  • Kids Table with 2 Chairs and 3 Plastic Storage Bins – I love this little table with the storage built underneath. What budding artist doesn’t require paper, crayons, and the necessary supplies? Keep all of that together and out of the way.
  • Double Closet Rod & Storage – Instantly and more effectively get the most out of the space in your child’s closet. Double rods allow you to hang high and low for easier access. Shelves give you more places to store toys and shoes.

What items have helped your children make the most our their own spaces?  What items can you not imagine living without?

  • If you have positional logic, then you like things to be where they will prove most useful. You would feel most organized if...
    - Your keys were always by the front door so they are nearby when you leave.
    - Your clothes hamper was situated in your closet because that is where you always change clothes.
