list of things to pack for a flight with your family

On Saturday, I fly to Kansas with my 3 young children. I’ll be visiting my parents and my two 88-year-old grandmothers who still live in their own homes. I’m planning on going back to the town I grew up in for a trip down memory lane. Here are some things that I certainly don’t want to forget:

  1. Gifts for family from Maine
  2. Booster/car seats
  3. Books/activity books (magazines for me)
  4. Swimming suits
  5. Walking shoes
  6. Cell phone/charger
  7. Clean clothes in carry-on
  8. Camera
  9. Plenty of snacks
  10. Blankies & loveys

What are you sure to pack for a flight?

  • We do a lot of camping in our pop-up camper. Our first trip will be 4 days over 4th of July Weekend! We do most of our camping right in our home state of NH. This trip we are going to "Crawford Notch." There's supposed to be a trail with a great waterfall to see! One thing we never forget is the Sunscreen! Also Thanks for stopping by my blog & commenting :)

  • Hope you have a really nice trip. We are going to New Orleans in 2 weeks. I'm pretty excited. I've not been there for quite a long time.

  • going to yosemite in a day or two, for a week. then vegas later for 3 days. then im going to Florida for 3 weeks. :-)

  • We have multiple weddings to attend this summer and since some are out of town, we are making those our vacations.

  • Some things I always take along on vacation include: sugarless chewing gum to help with popping ears on the flight, a blank journel for each child to record things about the trip (when we get back home, they each put photos from the trip in the journal that correspond with the things they wrote about), and everyone brings along their ipod (to drown the sounds of screaming babies on the flight and to help the girls fall asleep easier when we are staying someplace unfamilar). Have a GREAT trip!

  • We are taking the LOCAL challenge due to gas prices- how much fun we can have the closest to home for the least amount of money. Except for a weekend getaway we have planned with my sister and her husband to New Hampshire- and Water Country!!
