list of my favorite stations on pandora.com

If you have ever used Pandora.com, then you know what an amazing place to hear the music that you like best without any commercials for free right through your computer. I listen to it all day at work. I listen at home while I am working on ListPlanIt. The kids and I listen to it during teatime. We love it! I never knew how to stay current in my style of music, which is a more folk/alternative kind of genre. Pandora introduces me to all kinds of new artists in the style of music that I like best! You just enter an artist, a favorite song, or a music style, and Pandora creates a station around that style. Here are some of my favorite stations.

  1. K.T. Tunstall
  2. Sarah Bareilles
  3. Brandi Carlile
  4. The Weepies
  5. Eva Cassidy
  6. Shawn Colvin
  7. Maroon 5
  8. Coldplay
  9. Dance/Pop (for our afternoon dance parties)
  10. George Winston (dinner music)

What stations do you or would you create on Pandora.com?

  • I forgot to mention that I am adding your button to my blog. I love lists! In answer to your question, I don't listen to music very often. I only listen to it in the car, and even then it's not all the time.

  • Oh, dear. I found your blog. I'm in trouble. I'm addicted to lists. I have notebooks full of lists and then there are lists of my lists, cross referenced. But I never actually get things done. Because I'm a list making procrastinator. Anyway....enjoyed perusing your blog. I'm in MidCoast ME. also and Pandora! GAH!!! Addiction is total.

    Kate Bush
    Siouxie and the Banshees
    Hank Wms III
    Michelle Shocked
    Alex Parks
    Blondie
    The Postal Service
    Imogen Heap
    A Fine Frenzy
    And....Talking Heads.

    That's my small list. YIKES!!

  • Pandora has been good to me too. When I take the time to assemble playlists in iTunes, it helps, but I don't take the time. My music collection, while vast, seemed to grow a little stale.

I've discovered a lot of music, but Pandora has also helped me appreciate my own collection again.

  • I too love Pandora! Here are some of my current favorites:

    Adele
Alt Country (Gillian Welch, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Lyle Lovett)
Big Band/Swing (Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller)
    Classic Jazz (Charlie Parker)
    Brazillian Bassa Nova
Folky Girl Radio (Indigo Girls, etc.)
    Gipsy Kings
    Jazz Fusion
    Jonatha Brook
    The Spinto Band
