list of favorite fall things to do

Fall here in Maine means that the nights get down to near freezing and the trees turn brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow. The air is crisp and so are the apples picked right off the tree at nearby orchards. I have always loved those first few times of putting on a cozy sweater or fleece for the season. And the bugs have all but retreated until next spring. Here are my favorite things to do in the fall.

  • Go on a hayride.
  • Visit a corn maze.
  • Make s’mores over a campfire.
  • Go apple-picking.
  • Take walks through the changing woods with my camera in tow.
  • Find a pumpkin patch to pick the biggest jack-o-lantern pumpkin and the best pie pumpkin.
  • Go leaf-collecting and then iron them between two sheets of wax paper.
  • See a local football team play.
  • Visit an agricultural fair.
  • Start thinking about Halloween.

What is your favorite fall thing to do?

  • I have read over a few of your current posts and I was itching to know if you wanted to swap website links? I am constantly hunting to switch links with personal blogs on similar content! I look forward to hearing back from you quickly.

  • Ohhhh I can't take it! I so want to move NORTH! Florida is killing me with no seasons....some day! It's time to bake some chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Great list....and great ideas!

  • You will have to let me know if you like it. They offer it with or without "whip" (cream that is!) and I never get it that way because I drink too many of them, but it's dessert-like that way. In OOB... or is that area Saco?, well there's a drive-through Starbucks ... the most amazing thing next to a drive thru' CVS! But I am glad we don't have one here because I would be seriously Broke!!!

I was wondering how you would view my post actually... I am waiting to hear from some Palin supporters because (without bashing me) I would love to see their views. Because as I said, everyone is entitled to their opinion!

  • #1 on my list would be to stop at Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte... THEN bring it on my hay ride through the apple picking orchard!
