list of healthy grab & go snacks to keep on hand

Being on the go still means having to eat a healthy snack, even if it doesn’t appear to be as easy to get as a candy bar or bag of chips.  These snacks are fast, fresh and just as easy to get as a Milky Way or Doritos.  These are snacks for adults as well as kids, and they’ll keep your energy level up as you’re living your busy life!

Fresh Fruit. Try different fruits in season.You can always buy a bag of apples or a bunch of bananas.

Dried Fruit.  Raisins, cranberries, banana chips.

Popcorn.  Pop your own kernels in a paper lunch bag in the microwave.

Yogurt.  All you need is a spoon, or buy the “On the Go” kind.

Granola Bars.  So many kinds to choose from.

Peanut Butter & Honey Sandwich Half.

Mixed Nuts.  For a snack AND an activity idea, buy whole nuts.

Cheese. Cheese sticks for a convenient snack or cheese blocks for a variety.

Cut Veggies and Ranch Dressing.  Cut larger quantity of veggies on Sunday and distribute throughout the week.

Cereal.  Eat it straight from the box, or pour it in a bowl with milk.
